Areas we’ll trust you with:

vcita is seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our team for a maternity leave replacement. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and developing strategic partnerships. You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and fine-tune the foundation for forming new partnerships.

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of potential leads using online sources such as Sales Navigator, company websites and 3rd party tools.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships that align with vcita's growth objectives
  • Collaborate with the marketing team execute strategic marketing partnerships
  • Provide regular reports and updates on business development activities and progress towards goals
  • Make initial contact with potential leads in leading companies to introduce our company and qualify them based on set criteria
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions with leads in our CRM system
  • Provide insights and feedback to the marketing team based on your findings
  • Assist with other duties as assigned to support the marketing team.

Areas of your knowledge and Expertise:

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, sourcing or related role
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills
  • Mother tongue English written and verbal 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of the SaaS industry and small business market preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work
  • Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree 

**This is a temporary full-time position for a maternity leave replacement. The expected duration of the role is 10-12 months with a good likelihood to continue the journey within vcita.
